Blinding light persists, cell phone on the blink

I brought my cellphone to Verizon Wireless but they couldn't figure out how to turn off the horrible blinding white light.

I am going to hit it with a hammer and see if that helps.

Wow that sounds incredibly annoying...lol It also sounds like something out of a twilight Zone or X Files episode.
Too bad it doesn't do anything fancy, other than just blinding light...hey maybe it's a 'light saber' or something fun and useful!
