Hey Dan- My friend Mike Palmer gave me your book for x-mas. I finally read it. Love it. I was in the class of 07. I will hit the trails in 11 and go for the woman's speed record again. I bailed in Sisters due to giardia and a knee issue. I had 2,000 miles of fun. I have to prepair mind for not running ultras for a few months in 11 again. I run lot's of 100 mile trail races and when on the trail I did become depressed not running everyday. Anyways thanks for the fun read it brought me back to fun times. I will head out and do some trailrunning in the sierras and bring trail magic to the class of 09. Cheers, Catra aka Dirt Diva
Catra --- first of all, thanks for the kind words, and second of all, what an incredible achievement --- 2,000 miles of running and speed-walking? Sounds like you've got nothing to prove at this point but best of luck with hitting the speed record again. And I can sympathize with both the knee and the giardia issue. Have fun with the trail running! d
